The Wheelin'-n'-Walkin'-Challenge (WWC) was designed as a simple way for our families and staff members to work together to raise funds for their programs. All of the money each program raises goes directly to that particular program.
The event is pretty straightforward. Each program participant uses a sponsor form to collect donations from family and friends and returns with the completed form and donations by the day prior to the event. On the day of the WWC, everyone in the program goes outside to walk, roll or be pushed one time around their building.
WWC Breaks Records in '07
The 2007 WWC was held at Horizon School, Horizon High School and all three Adult Training Centers and raised over $45,000! Each site will be able to decide how to spend the money they helped raise. In past years, the high school used their funds to support a series of specialized field trips to numerous educational sites for their students and the lower school used their funds to support hippotherapy (therapy using horses) for every one of their students.
