Comprehensive Health Plans

MEDICAL/ PRESCRIPTION PLAN
We offer a POS Plan, which is among the most flexible health plans with a broad range of co-payments and deductibles. This plan also provides coverage for care received either from an extensive in-network physician/provider directory, or for an out-of-network physician or provider. A comprehensive regional and national network of retail pharmacies, and discounted rates available for a 90-day supply of maintenance medications are offered for member convenience. Our POS Plan offers a wide variety of supplemental health and wellness education opportunities as well.

DENTAL PLAN
With a choice of two programs, Dental DMO or Dental PPO, employees have the opportunity to select from a nationwide network of participating dentists. Preventive Care Services are covered at 100% with in-network dentists, with varying coverage levels for Basic/Restorative care and Major Restorative Care, with Orthodontic Benefits included.

VISION PLAN
Employees and eligible dependents can receive the following after appropriate co-payments: eye exams every 12 months, prescription glasses (lenses covered in full every 12 months, frames every 24 months), and contact lenses every 12 months.

Life Insurances

CPNJ GROUP LIFE INSURANCE PLAN
CPNJ provides, at no cost to all full time employees, group term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment and continues through the last day of the month upon which employment is terminated or reduced to less than full-time status.

VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE PLAN
Any full time employee is eligible to purchase a separate voluntary life insurance policy using payroll deduction. An employee can tailor the level of coverage and subsequent payments to meet his or her individual needs.

DISABILITY INSURANCE
CPNJ provides a long-term disability insurance plan for eligible employees. Under this plan, an employee who is unable to work due to illness, injury, or other disability, which meets the policy criteria, receives a percentage of his or her compensation during the period in which he or she is unable to work.

LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE
Long Term Care Insurance provides financial assistance for the cost of care resulting from a chronic illness or disability. Premiums are determined by several factors including level of coverage, the age of the person insured, and inflation riders. CPNJ contributes a portion, the amount of which is determined annually, of the premium.

Savings Plans

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
CPNJ employees are eligible to participate in any of the Flexible Spending Account plans for the use of health care, dependent care and transportation/parking expenses. The IRS allows employees to have a portion of their salary deducted on a pre-tax basis to pay for eligible expenses.

401(k) RETIREMENT PLAN
CPNJ offers a 401(k) retirement plan. CPNJ's 401(k) plan allows an employee the opportunity to put aside pre-tax earnings while saving for retirement. Employees can choose to contribute up to 100% of their pay (up to a federally determined annual limit) in one or more available investment opportunities. Employees are eligible for an employer match after one year of service, determined annually by the Agency and announced before the beginning of each fiscal year.

PAID TIME OFF
Vacation
Full and part time employees are eligible for vacation time after appropriate accrual periods.

Sick
CPNJ allows employees to accrue paid sick time for those occasions when the employee or their spouse, partner, child, or stepchild become ill.

Holiday
CPNJ provides paid time off to full-time employees for those listed agency-wide holidays that is distributed each year. Part time employees are entitled to paid holiday only if the holiday falls on a regularly scheduled work day.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to provide confidential help to all employees who wish to deal with personal problems, which may affect their work, health or home life.

CREDIT UNION
The Atlantic Federal Credit Union offers many transactions to CPNJ employees such as savings and checking accounts, loans and mortgages and many other financial services. Such transactions can be processed through bi-weekly payroll checks, and membership is also available to family members of enrolled CPNJ employees.

TUITION ASSISTANCE & CONTINUING EDUATION PROGRAM
In an effort to enhance the skills and knowledge of its staff, CPNJ offers a college tuition and continuing education assistance program to full time employees after a year of employment for work-related courses at a recognized college or university, and funding is also provided for job-related continuing education workshops, seminars, or conferences.

TRANSPORTATION ACCOUNT
This program allows you to set aside funds through pre-tax payroll deductions for purposes for qualified work-related transportation and parking expenses.

PART TIME EMPLOYEES
Part Time Employees are eligible for participation in the following plans: 401(k) Plan, Voluntary/Long Term Care Life Insurances, Flexible Spending Care Accounts, EAP Program, and Credit Union with eligibility for paid time off.
